BIOS ver.511 has Major bug?

I just want to confirm that I have noticed first hand that the 0511 BIOS does in fact have a major bug that causes the system to unpredictably stop updating the ACPI CPU temperature reading in both 'Max Battery Life' and 'Max Performance' modes.

この後の部分に詳しいけれど、ファンが止まることがあって、その影響で内部温度があがりすぎてハングする*1、みたいなかんじですね。

対処法は以下、とのこと。

After observing two instances where this problem occurred, the only way to get the system to start updating the temperature once again is by shutting the eeePC down, and removing the battery and AC adaptor (if connected). Placing the eeePC into stand by or just simply restarting it will not fix this problem.

っていうわけで、僕は ver.703に変えました。
レアケース、とはいうけれど、ねぇ。

Those who run their eeePC in the 900 MHz 'Max Performance' mode must be aware that it is (rare yet) plausible for this bug to present itself while your eeePC is in a state where the fan has stopped spinning, for instance, shortly after resuming from stand by.

*1:内部温度80℃で CPUが自動的に 810MHzにおちるけど、そのまま温度は上昇。内部温度90℃に達すると事象発生
